    Wedding Music at Cap Rocat

A 19th-century fortress carved into the cliffs above the bay of Palma, fifteen minutes from the city and a world away from it. Cap Rocat is one of the venues we return to most — and one where the acoustics reward a band that knows the space.

    The Venue

    Cap Rocat for Weddings

Cap Rocat was built as a military fortress at the end of the 19th century and reopened in 2010 as an adults-only hotel. Its sandstone terraces, vaulted galleries and the Sea Club at the water's edge give a wedding three completely different settings within a few hundred metres: the elevated terraces with the bay behind you for the ceremony, the gardens and courtyards for dinner, and the Sea Club for a sunset cocktail by the water.

For music, that means three different setups in one day. Stone and open sky carry a solo voice beautifully but swallow a PA that is placed wrong; the Sea Club terrace needs sound that reaches the far tables without disturbing the calm of the place. We have played all three areas and bring a plan, not a guess.

    How We Play It

Your Day at Cap Rocat, in Music

    Ceremony on the terraces

A wedding singer with acoustic guitar or a duo with piano. The stone amplifies naturally — we keep the setup minimal and the sound warm. Six languages for an international guest list.

    Sunset at the Sea Club

DJ + live saxophone or a jazz trio at conversation level while the light turns gold over the bay. This is the moment guests photograph most at Cap Rocat.

    Dinner in the gardens

Curated lounge sets or a singer with piano between the courses, wireless microphones for the speeches, discreet lighting.

    The party

Full 5–6-piece band or DJ & live combo on the dance floor. We coordinate the timing with the venue's evening rules so the peak lands before any cut-off.

    Logistics

    What We Take Care Of

    • Load-in and power are coordinated directly with the Cap Rocat events team — you don't need to be involved.
    • We arrive and sound-check before your guests are on site, usually while the ceremony area is being dressed.
    • Open-air sound at the terraces is planned with the venue's guidelines in mind; we can move the late party into a covered area if requested.
    • Travel from Palma is included — no accommodation or transport surcharges for a local team.

    FAQ

    Live Music at Cap Rocat

Yes. Cap Rocat is one of the venues that appears most often in our calendar, for weddings and for corporate dinners. That's why we can advise on where a band works best, where a solo singer is the better choice and how the sound behaves on the terraces after dark.

For most couples: a solo singer or duo for the ceremony, DJ + saxophone for the Sea Club cocktail, and a full band or DJ & live combo for the party. If the budget allows only one live element, put it into the party.

Like most venues on Mallorca, Cap Rocat has rules for outdoor sound in the late evening. We know them, plan the running order with your planner around them, and can continue indoors where the venue allows.

Yes — jazz trio or singer with piano for the dinner, DJ or band afterwards. We MC in English, Spanish and German if needed.
